The Time pass snacks for most Indians, Peanuts are also known as Groundnuts or Earthnuts or Moongphali are the most common and cheapest healthy snack available all around the year. Although they are called nuts they belong to the leguminous family. They can be eaten boiled or roasted or even now made into Peanut Butter. They make a very healthy garnish in our Poha or can be used along with Gur (Jaggery) to make Chikki. They can be fried and served with Chillies and Onions or wrapped into Besan and deep fried.
Although Peanuts are mostly considered a time pass snack they pack a punch when it comes to nutrition and health benefits.
